Thanks Kaye, the chassis is pretty much done just need to make the left side exhaust which I will be using the original outlet for the left side, need to make exhaust pipe sleeves to join them together, I installed a rotor starter to eliminate stress the pull start cords bring to the chassis when starting, waiting on the clutch drum and housing, down the road I'll install a fuel tank and servo to control brakes and throttle then onto to the body work and paint. Hope you enjoy :)

Thank you Kaye, I'm onto the body now, need to make hood support hinge, border hood lip for the hood to align with body, exhaust elbow sleeves to attache side pipes then bondo and paint. I like to document everything like that I don't forget. Hope you enjoy. :)

Thank you fab and lovedr, fab the color is going to be the traditional blue with white stripes, racing numbers and decals, the blue will have metal flake that wasn't in the original 60s Daytona.

Hey folks, starting on the body, for starters I cleaned all the glass pillars and seams. Going to body filler on the outside and some fiberglass work on the inside.

Thank you Oldschool.I wanted that blue but I think I'm not that far off with what I have, we'll see? Plus I live in the country now, popular colors here are tractor red or John deere green. Lol

Hey folks, from what I gathered from photos of Jeff Schmidt's design of the Daytona coupe inner wheel well, I first made a template and transferred over to hard paper board, after some more sanding and teawking, I will remove and layer the wheel wells with fiberglass cloth and then attach the wells with fiberglass under the hood, or if fiberglass can bond with ABS, I will transfer the paper board template to the ABS and go from there? I will then make aluminum braces to attach the hood bar that will hinge the hood. Hope you enjoy :)
