keep it together and R/C it
Too late.
IT's already in pieces.
Nothing lasts long in my shed.

Yeah there's a bloke in town who sells and repairs pocketbikes.
I'm sure I'd get some clutch shoes off hiim.
But for now I'm putting this motor to the side.
Can't have any more distractions at the moment.

Might have another look at it tomorrow after work though....

Yeah went really well considering the motor wasn't revving all out and I was only going half throttle.
Gonna start rebuilding the frame this weekend hopefully.

The Ford is my girlfriend's sister's car.
She has not seen this footage.

Nah it's all goood - I only hit the back of the front wheel.
Only car in the whole street though and I still managed to crash in to it.
Takes skill to do that.

Or an out-of-control large scale RC car.

A couple of post-crash pictures and also the new engine mount setup.
As this is all plastic and nothing is square I'm starting on the clutch side of the motor and trying to square things up from there.
Once this cradle is set up I'll bolt the whole thing to the chassis.

Got a bit done on the cradle for the motor today.
As usual everything gets a lot more complicated than originally anticipated.

But to quote Dominick - "People who build, build"

Well, I've been waving the magic wending wand all day and finished the cradle for the engine and started on the arms for the front suspension.

Scored a bunch of old gas struts which came in handy.

Ohkay a couple of photos from this afternoon.
First time with all 4 wheels somewhat attached to the chassis.
Even though it's not supporting its own weight yet, that was a good moment!
