Does it look like they're having fun?
Rory and Riley got their favorite driver's autographs, screamed during the freestyle till they got sore throats, and fell asleep in the car on the way home from St. Louis.
Awesome day with the family!

I highly recommend it for any kid's introduction to motorsports.

It's not really a "race" so to speak, it's a SHOW...it's WWF Wrestling on wheels. Lots of time made for autographs, kid-friendly atmosphere, big fast-moving production with full-time announcing and minimal down time. Grave Digger, Monster Mutt, Maximum Destruction... the cars have "names" so they have their fans with banners and handmade signs and stuff.

And this guy, Tom Meents... is quite an amazing showman. If you snap a picture of him with your kid, he'll frequently either act like he's strangling them, or lift hold up by their collar in the air for the photo. The kids LOVE this!!
