1/4 scale car tube chassis

Post by stoneyberk »

O.K. guys I've been working on all my CAD/CAM programs as well as setting up my cnc mill and i'm nearly done with it and plan on machining some test parts within a few months..

I'm looking for a half way decent car tube chassis so i can bolt on my parts for testing... It doesn't have to be nothing fancy... as long as all the welds are intact and the thing isn't bent out of shape.. and the welds really don't have to be all that good.. I can re-weld it if necessary... I'm in no real big hurry here either guys,,, I'm thinking i will have my parts ready for testing around September or so... So if you or you know someone that has an old one laying around they want to part with let me know..

Thanks

I would like to get my hands on a new era prostock chassis to be quite honest! But then again i know they are quite rare as well.. and I'm NOT willing to pay $500+ for a bare chassis either..

MGBGT... Let me see a few shots of this WCM chassis your talking about and I'll get back to you on it...

Thanks guys

Stoney,

Here are some pictures of the WCM frame. It's scrapped up from being stored for a while but I don't see any broken welds or bent tubes. Let me know if this is something that your interested in or not and if so, I'll make you a good deal. Shipping shouldn't be terrible since I'm at the opposite end of the state from you and it's only a bare frame.

Here is a prostock someone just completely screwed up, But you can gat it for $400 OBO. If its straight it would be a good start. But It definetly is a prostock frame. It has x'ed door bars and the small brace that would run just to the left of where the seat would be. I dont know of any GN cars that did the chassis this way.
