Jeep trail riding 2010
Hit a trail right up behind our home today for fathers day. It was a blast. Its amazing how you can get out of the city in 10 minutes and have such an amazing view. Love the trails up there. Lots too choose from. Can see the ocean on one side of the peak and inland on the other. Spent 5 hours up there today...

What a great way to spend Fathers Day! Out with the kids in a Jeep, what could be better?

We had so much fun, I think I'll request an off roading trip for Mother's Day next year.

Re: Jeep trail riding 2010
For fourth of July we decided to hit our trail and watch fireworks from top of the mountain. Even brought up the BBQ and burnt up some hot dogs and burgers! We could see miles inland, Miles into the ocean, Los Angeles, Orange county, etc... It was a bit hazy but it gave some of the far away fireworks an amazing look. It just lighted up the sky in those areas making it very bright. Almost like a large bomb going off. It was a beautiful drive back down the mountain. Late night trail riding at its best.

Just beautiful...is that Santiago Peak (Saddleback?) that you were on?

Yes we were. There are trails up there that go to elsinore, corona, el toro, etc. You could stay up there for days. This time of the year, the weather is perfect for it with the top down.
