1/4 scale AC COBRA BODY

Post by mickieb49 »

Hello all, just found this site and it looks real helpful, but can't seem to find any information about where i can get a 1/4 scale AC COBRA body? Does anyone have one they can sell me or know of one / supplier?
Any help is very much appreciated.

Mick: You just missed one on ebay yesterday, it went for the amazingly low price of $76 (I didn't buy it).

Thankyou, noticed on their website that they mention a full rolling chasis? but not costing for them ? was this a typo? (i assume it is) if memory serves me correctly, it looks exactly like Conley's picture and writeup ? ?
I am getting excited, not that i need the extra project but as we all say " I WANT IT"
Thankyou all
Is there anyone else out there building one of these 1/4 scale AC Cobra's? I would be interested in some pictures of the chasis, suspension and drivetrain ?

that chassis was the first version of the cobra that gary built. That one specifically came from Wolfgang owner of Raco Europe. He sold it for $2000!!! Generally the newer version of the cars sell in the $7000-$15000 range.

Thankyou heaps all, this information helps me alot. Looks like i have about a few years worth of machining to do
I am still wondering if i could make the Singer 609 fit, i know the dimensions may be a little out but customising a chasis may help make it work???? Either that or i continue the 426HEMI build for this (this unfortunately is a little while off)
Again thankyou all.

These cars are certainly beautiful, pity they don't come up for sale very often, but i guess then they would not be worth as much. Well looks like i will have to build one from scratch... :( :(
