Here's a real piece of Quarter-scale history. I believe these were the first quarter scale RC cars ever produced.

Yea, I just saw that on ebay this morning. Looks like a nice machine. It was made by Jeff schmidt in 1979 and it was the first quarterscale RC car ever offered for sale to the public. They were sold under the name of Pacesetter... yes the same Pacesetter that made the dragsters and such. Jeff started that company and later started QRS. Not that you dont know all that already mike, but sharing with the rest of the group :D Jeff still owns 2 of the 3 original prototypes for this model. I have the body molds for it but have not offered them for sale on my site yet. Also for anyone that does not know, this car came with a quick change rear end. Also a first for the scale. Before you get excited, the rear stays in the car, its not like a skellenger or new era style but it is machined and really quite cool.
