'' Project '' Blown HEMI

Post by stoneyberk »

Hey guys... Well I've never mentioned it until now but i have been designing a 1/4 scale blown hemi V8 engine for nearly 7 years.. up until recently it has been on the back burner to do list.. lol. I am also working on a Non-blown version of the hemi.. as well as a small block V8 engine.. In both blown and non-blown versions... I nearly have the HEMI completed and thought i would stop by to inform all you 1/4 scale freaks here... Yeah like I'm not! lol... I did alter a few shots of the hemi to post here,, as well as on my site at.. http://www.quarterscaleprostreetberetta ... -HEMI.html

There just teaser shots guys... I altered them for a few reasons... I'll be updating this hemi project within a few months or soo... I'm currently working alot of hours and just don't have much free time to invest in the hemi project currently... I am currently designing the electric water pump and well as the electric dry sump pump for it.. All electric guys... No belts to rob the engine of it's HP...

wow, for me it's impossible to imagine a man that build such a complex thing as a motor... even with one cylinder... so with 8.... bravo!

Yeah it will be a head turner that's for sure... I may even design a noisy gear drive for the Non-blown versions..

Complex... Hmm well i suppose a V8 is... I have a few years of engineering under my belt soo there really not that complicating to me... The hardest part is designing it in CAD... Once it's designed and scaled down in CAD it's a cake walk to machine it...

I received the pistons/rods/valves/valve retainers/rocker arm shafts/rockers/pushrods/ pushrod guide & cups from being heat treated yesterday so i should have at least one set of heads assembled within a few days or soo.. I'll take some highly detailed shots of them then... I can't wait to get this beast built and listen to the rumble of the 1/2'' pipes... ohh and lets not forget.. The awesome whine of this scaled down huge 14-71 superman blower.... Ohhhhh yeah........................

BTW... the head in this shot is scrap... That's why it looks so rough... I had a boo boo while face milling it... woops....

Mystery!

More like suspense... Actually i just created a watermark for my pics... I wanted to watermark them prior to posting them for personal reasons... I'll have the majority of them watermarked and posted on my site in a week or so.. Although some of them are confidential and i wont be posting any of them... sorry guys... I'm sure some of you can understand my reasons why!

Yes. You wouldn't want someone to nab the photos off your website and post them as... say... THEIR original prototypes, now... that would be just dishonest, wouldn't it?

I'm not to concerned about that.. I'm more concerned about raising awareness of my company in the minds of consumers and help build my reputation as a credible business...

There are many company's that use a watermark in this manner to promote there business.. such as.. DDM, Pro1Z,, as an example...

After all.. i do plan on producing these and other items in the future..

Ok, now i am really confused?!? I thought stoney was partners with insaneMB. Last year you posted pics of those dragsters and stated they were prototypes that you and your partner Mike were building... Am i missing something? Did you guys break it off?

you both posted the exact same pictures of these cars...

I know, I know...

Stoney, we're letting you off easy.

You threw your "credibility" out the window when you posted pics of Mike Schaffner's (InsaneMB) wooden dragster and funny car on the forum last year, claiming these were your prototypes for production... it was all BS, you swiped the pics from here:

http://insanemodelbuilder.blogspot.com/ ... results=23

Now, please quit believing that we all have the same level of brain damaged amnesia as you seem to have. You have no credibility left here, please go play with the kids on RCU, where they MIGHT believe you for a few years.
