Funk, you would get a wicked bad burn. I usually weld with no arm protection. My arms get cooked! I built some stuff for our shop one time and I was welding two days straight. Burnt my arms and legs real good. If you are only tack welding, goggles may work.

This helmet can give more safety and productivity in work. I believe that this one is considered one of the best helmets that can be used comfortably. Just like I said, it's productivity helmet.
