Car arrived at the dock today... Whoa! I cant believe the initial looks of quality. A very nicely constructed car. Much better then the pics showed or show now. I have a feeling this one will be talked about for a long time. Especially with what we have in store for it.

Its raining now and i need to transport this in my truck. So it stays in the crate for now, but tonight i will pull it out of the box and get some nice detailed shots. For now, its just camera shots for you guys, but just hang in there for a few hours...

 Good observation! Its high temp tubing, but i do plan on building a heat shield around the outlet of the turbine there. Moving the engine back would have not been possible.

We knew something needed to be added there. John talked about using brass or copper lines. The fittings will work with metal tubing. But i really dont see a need for it. The way it is now, a lot of stuff is exposed to heat. Thats why i had thought about using either a shroud or they have extenders for the back of the jet engines. But, i am going to try the shroud idea first. I have a really cool plan that i think will fit the bill nicely. One consideration with design is to be able to see all the workings there without removing a whole body section. That is why this feature was not built into the rear fenders.

Regardless of the adjustments that have to be made, John has created a f#*^in piece of art. It would also be awesom to see it run. Great work. Geoff

Very Nice Mike! I see that John Foster has some major skills!
Now all you have to do is take that down to the local drag strip and make a few passes with it, shoot some footage from different angles and edit up some digital video...
burn a few hundred disc's and put'em up on ebay for a buy it now of $19.99...

I'd pay to see it!

Now on another note, can you shine some light on that funny car in the back ground???
I know if it's sitting in the living room, it must be a special piece...I wanna see!

technically thats not the living room. I am only allowed to keep one car in the living room. This is basically just my "inside storage area" well, one of them :)

That FC is pretty special. It has a chrome plated chassis and nothing on the body is a decal. its all airbrushed. The history behind the car is pretty cool. It was owned by a man that work with degree engineering AND pacesetter. When pacesetter moved back east they sold basically all their inventory locally to this guy and then he tried to sell the cars under a different name even though they were pacesetter. When pacesetter left california they had a really poor reputation and were known for ripping people off big time. I think all that changed when Mike K. got involved with it.

there are a couple pics here of it... http://www.quarterscalelegends.com/bb/v ... f=2&t=1086
