I want to know what grade of oil used for damping Raco GN

I use 30 or 40Wt. oil.I'm still learning about them.I would like them to be real smooth,But I don't know if that's the stiff spring. Or drill holes in the plunger end of the shaft.I really don't have the extra parts or patience to experiment.

the springs are not great not
I make an assembly with springs 1.5 scale

1.5 Adaptation barrel spring scale, many possible adjustment ....
