Al this is a very simple fix and you are probably thinking of this route already. When I had my NE corvette I needed to make runner boards as the original owner cut them off, I used this thin plastic that you buy in sheets and it's called something board, can't remember, but it is very pliable when glued on, I would check on something thin enough to contour the shape on the inside. Start off by making the template on the inside of the windshield wide enough to hold the glass, once your happy with the width, you glue the trim that will hold the windshield, once dry you then add fiberglass strips as the final adhesive. Now you can drill and hold the windshield with button head screws or however you see fit, this is one option. Does this make sense? Here's a photo of the runner board.

Here's one option Al that I was talking about, you'll need to fiddle around with different types of material and see what works best of course, this template will be glued from the inside. It's a start.

Now you have 3 options Al, template, tabs, or a new body. Cutting openings into new bodies was always nerve racking for me because I have the tendency to measure once and cut cut cut till I need a new body, consider yourself very lucky to have the option for a new body, I still have to cut my Yankee 330P4 and 905. Out of all the bodies in 1/4 scales I think the Yankee 330 and the WCM IROC are the toughest to get right without rigorous planning.

You guys maybe right, i might need a new body, best to get practice on this one so that i feel more comfortable cutting on them.
