Stock Pacesetter FC -- early, chain drive. Powder coated frame in perfect condition, BRP tires, Quarter Mortar (TM) Rear Wheels, Bob S. Front Wheels. Polished Aluminum parts. It has an unmolested Corvette body that I will eventually paint in a retro scheme. Lots of other projects going on right now.

looks great so far. Would like to see the body. There were two different corvettes. Basically the same, but just different molds. The older ones had a lip in the wheelwell. That would indicate an original Jeff Schmidt body before he left.

Wow that is a nice chassis, good pick in the wheels. I would like to see the body also.

Is that a home made/modified clutch bell setup?

Also what size chain/sprocket is that?
#25 or bigger?

Body Pics. I will eventually soda blast and fill all holes/cracks, then paint with DuPont automotive primer, basecoats and clear. I have all the equipment and skill, but no time. I have a full scale project is keeping me busy. I purchased a Quarter Mortar (TM) parachute, and I'll fashion a rear wing from aluminum when the time comes.

Yep, thats the good one. Looks to be in nice shape too! Cool car!! I have one probably built at the exact same time, but with the silver dollar rear in it. The chassis is a chain drive chassis though. I think its one of the first cars that recieved the rear end?

The first time I saw a 1/4 scale Pacesetter Funny Car was at an automotive swap meet at Stafford Springs Motor Speedway, CT. I was around 17-18 years old at the time and was purchasing parts for my first V8 Vega, but simply couldn't afford the R/C funny car. I think they were asking around $700-$800 bucks. I kept coming back and drooling -- hoping I could barter the seller down. The vision of that car with the body up and the tubular, zoomy exhaust was etched into my memory. That was many years ago.

That was my first Q-Scale car, too... a (ab)used Pacesetter Vette...

Mine was yellow, Silver dollar rear end. Later, I painted it black with flames. Frame was a bit "tweaked", never ran exactly straight, LOL!!!

Got radio interference at Colton, CA... Hit a laid-down telephone pole... didn't have it long enough to have any real pics of it . It was in RC Model cars in a group photo, but that was near 18 years ago.

tmaxx fuel tank... ?

T-Maxx #9000. If you search eBay in RC for aluminum fuel tank a bunch will pop up. I'll take a photo of the car with the body on when the rain finally stops (they're predicting Sunday).
