I just stumbled across ¼ scale RC sprint cars and wanted to pick your brains about them. I use to race Micro Sprints so these types of cars are near and dear to my heart.
Questions on the ¼ Sprint cars
1. What type of tubing size and thickness do you guys use for the ¼ scale sprint car frames?
2. How do you connect the tubing joints? Weld/solder
3. Engine sizes?
4. Tires?
5. Drive train?
6. Body pieces?
7. Controls
8. Anything else that would help?
Thanks
Jamie

Re: Frame specs
3/8 4130 tubing. If your not racing mild steel is fine.
Mig welding is probably the most common weld but for a scale looking weld tig is the way to go.
Engines are typically 23cc zenoah.
BRP tires. He can make whatever size/stagger you need.
If your racing belt drive is whats being used. They are the xxl size belts. You can buy gears from alot of different manufacturers. I suggest WCM since you can buy everything through thier website.
Bodys can be made out of lexan or bought. Again WCM has those available.
I use a futaba 4PK for all of my cars.
Hope that helps
