I've never come across this car previuosly. WOW..that's some modelmaking.
Quote..... I decided to start work on a project I had been wanting to do for years but didn't have time. To build a 1/4 scale Bowes Seal Fast Indy roadster that A. J. Foyt won Indy with in 1961. It took me over a year of research to come up with blueprints, drawings, and photos so that I could try and make it as realistic as possible. The final product took over 3 years and an estimated 3000 hours to complete and tested every bit of model making skills that I aquired over a lifetime of model building. It is accurate down to the last hose clamp, fitting, oil line, fuel line, brake line. etc.. It is 4 ft long and weighs 38 lbs. I made absolutely every part and piece from scratch. I took it to Pikes Peak Intl Raceway when the Indy cars were running and got Foyt to autograph the inside of the hood. Later I made a trip to Las Vegas and also got George Bignotti to autograph it. It was a pretty big hit and drew a lot of attention. I have pics of the drivers eyeballing it including Johnny Rutherford, Al Unser, Bobby Unser, Kenny Brack, Greg Ray to mention a few. It was a fun day.

I also read somewhere that AJ bullied the builder to forking it over to him, but in a nice way of course, I think AJ owns it now? But what a beauty
