After many conversation with Clint Baudox ( owner operator ) of CB Products I purchased a set of his 3 piece rims
We will talk about price later
Omg. Momma said she thinks she heard me giggle when I opened the box up... These are absolutely amazing...
Here's what I did.
I put one together with out a tire, placed it on the lathe and checked for trueness with a dial indicator. Wow. Perfect
I sanded it and polished it on the lathe. Beautiful finish for a 5 minute job..
Cleaned it up and mounted a tire on it. I just made a new set of tires for the sprint car. Those are 3 inch rims the tires are mounted on with no Hoosier stickers
All fit perfect on MY tires
4 bolt and six bolt hole patterns available. A few popular designed centers to choose from. You can't go wrong
I can't be happier
Id buy a set now at the price he's asking.
Thank you Clint
Finally. A quality product a a VERY DECENT cost....

Also. I have stated in the past that Bulldog rims are the cream of the crop . There my favorite. These remind me of them at a FRACTION of the cost.

Hi,
what type of tire you have installed on the wheel?

Hi. Those are my tires I make myself. Trust me.... I spent many years researching developing these tires....the tires out there just did not appeal to me... The foam I use is of hi quality for performance and looks. The side wall of the tire receives a special treatment that not only looks like rubber but is very durable and excepts the stickers very well as common foam tires don't. I also make these tires in a way where you do not have to glue them to the wheel. And they perform outstanding. I'm sure there is some slippage as I can't look inside there but I think ther fine. Maybe a couple of drops of your favorite glue would do

Here's a pic of them befor I put the stickers on them. They are massive. 6 inches of foam is required on a 4 inch rim to make them. That tucks the rim inside the tire not only making it look realistic but also protects the rim as well... I have three quality assurance stop checks in creating these tires that assures a perfect tire every time. The down side. No matter how you cut it. The process is dirty, messy and time consuming. Also. Th rim inserts I create as well. Rims are way to expensive for me so I had to develope a way to make the aluminum spun original rims look good. I have a few different inserts for virtually every type of aluminum and plastic rim out there.

Here's my attemp at an old vintage type tire for my 55 Chevy. The old Chevy rim insert is pressed in the host plastic rim. Great combo I think

Thanx guys. But again those CB Product rims are awesome. I talked to him other day and he is also in the process of designing yet even more styles of inserts for these spun aluminum rims.
Also. These rims are much stronger structurally then the original spun rims. And more surface for the host tire to grab on to.

My 2nd set of Clint's wheels just arrived. Put together straight out of the box. That's probably it for me.
