I loved going to Palm Springs.

We used to RC race in the parking lot of the Oasis Water Park out there. At night, of course (Mike has the video tapes) because it was blazing during the day, but only about 90 at night... it's a "dry" heat, actually not that uncomfortable.

Great times! And we'd stop at Hadley's for a date-shake on the way out!

Ok, so we went camping over the past weekend. We went to a local spot that we enjoy. We got to the campground OK and after we entered we went oround a corner and we heard all sorts of crazy sounds and the rig started to shake and act very wierd. We came to a sudden stop. We thought we lost our tow behind (jeep) but looking in the rear view camera, it looked OK?! I got out and everything was fine. I drove another 20 ft and the noise came back pretty bad. Julie got out and I drove again, but the sound was going away. We drove to our site and setup. It was dark, so I really could not inspect anything. The next morning I found to big dents in the axle!!! Looked like I blew up the diff. Only 2900 miles on my RIG!!! Anyway, we stayed and enjoyed the weekend. There was a war history festival going on that was huge. They also had RC battle tanks that were really killer looking!

Today (Monday) we spent the day dealing with tow companies and stuff to get our rig to a ford dealership. It really took all day! I kept telling them the diff was blown and we needed a flat bed. Well, they just sent a HD tow truck. The truck driver was pissed they did not tell him about the diff. He ended up having to remove the axles to tow it.

Mike: Real bad luck with the RV, but with only 2900 on the odometer it should be covered by warranty ..... if it had been a Skellenger you'd be on ebay right now looking for parts! I loved the sand area given over to 'rc war games' .... fun stuff.

Yea, I am sure it will be covered by ford. They should be embarrassed.

The tank thing was a killer setup. They also had RC battle boats but I did not get pics.

she is up and running again. We went to our favorite local spot over the weekend it was in the 70's and amazing. I took out a rc boat I got for christmas and it was a blast. We roughed it though this time. We did not go out to dinner. We used the BBQ and microwave. Got some goodies for my jeep man too. Its a slow build but getting there!!!

no, too excited to shoot pics when i went for it. It is just an aquacraft with brushless motor. Really fast out of the box. I keep it in our motorhome in the "RC bay" :) next time we take her out, i will shoot some pics!

Dogs? We can keep the KIDS in it. We'll just plop it outside and they can have their own rig. :D

What does the inside look like? I kinda like it...

I hadn't noticed the link you posted under it. Definitely no inside. I didn't realize it was a wind tunnel model. I still like it though.

Mrs QSL: You've so got to get this Mini Winni. I'd make all of Mike's new projects conditional on scoring this neat 'must have' addition to the Casey Camping fleet :)

(ps: Mike I hope I haven't dropped you in it  ....... please don't hold this against me ...... can I still get vacuum formed parts for my Daytona??? pleeeeeeezz )

The only place I could possibly think to keep it would be Mike's side of the bed...
