Is their a way to reverse tire rotation on a New Era Quick change rear?
As it is now, with the driveshaft rotating clockwise, the rear tires rotate forward.
My Conley clutch rotates counterclockwise at the engine's rear which will run the rear tires in reverse.

Can you flip the ring gear to the other side?

Yes, that's the info I got from my Aussie friends, thanks!

Rotating the rear end housing dose the same thing. So that the 3/8 shaft is on opposite to what you had before a better option. I did just the same thing by flipping the gear inside and found out the ring gear spool spacer was off and I couldn't close the side covers. I ended up removing material from the ring gear spool spacer to get the cover to close.

Wouldn't rotating the housing ( turning the rear entirely upside down ) completely throw off pinion angle?

What's the big deal with the pinion angle???? I do it with ever rear end I have. I have seen tooo many rear ends ruined from the cases dragging the pavement. It actually improves the pinion wear angle.vwguru75 wrote:Wouldn't rotating the housing ( turning the rear entirely upside down ) completely throw off pinion angle?
