Another funny car project...

Post by rc garage berlin »

Some of you might remember. I bought a Luther V8 engine. It is huge and quite
difficult to make it fit in a quarterscale car. But now I think it will be suitable
for my new project. A little funny car project.

I don´t build it from scratch. I have some parts I will use.

-some rear tires
-a Pacesetter front axel
-an old Pacesetter frame
-a new V8 Luther engine
-a Silver Dollar

First I will cut out the frame to see if the engine fits...

Is there anyone who can sell or make two quarter scale aluminium tanks like these?
I remember there was a guy who offered it in this forum but I can not find it anymore...

First test assembling before the frame gets powder coated.
Engine and tires fit under the old body which I want to keep
unrestored...

Hey RC Garage,
The project looks great!
BTW, what size tires and wheels are you using?

I use in the rear: Bridgestone YDE 4.5/10.0-5 (front tires for karts).
In the front I use pacesetter tires and rims with a diameter of 4 inch.
For me it is important that the wheel fits the body.

Got the drive shaft today. It is huge. Hope the silver dollar will stand the force.
