Because of the fake gas tank in the front, I put the real gas tank behind the driver seat.

The red flaps look good on the scoop. I like the way you've mounted the real gas tank behind the driver. This model car is wonderful!

Thank you for your comments. I like it too. It looks like the gas tank is part of the frame. In front of the engine, it was just too massive. I'm happy with this project, even knowing that it can always be better and more realistic.

One laser cutting part would cost 30€ and takes 4 weeks. What?.. I decided to cut it with a saw. To do this, I print the outline on paper and glue the paper to the sheetmetal with water-soluble glue.

I saw this funny video with John Force. For me it was the reason to make the scoop lower...

Great job on the steering wheel. You saved a lot of time by using hand tools to make the part.

Today I printed the handles and mounted everything. I have a deadline. At the end of February, everything has to be prepared for the photo shoot...

A servo for the parachute, the receiver, a battery pack for the glow plugs, a battery pack for the remote control, a lot of cables... I'm glad to have the RC box.

For those who don't know much about electronics (including me). First Lesson: Connecting the Glow Plugs for a Luther V8.
Each glow plug is connected to the engine housing (-) by the thread. Four glow plugs are connected to one red wire (+). I decided to use a switch to turn the glow plugs on and off. To operate the glow plugs, you need a 2-cell battery pack with 2.4 volts and 8 Ah. I also use a charging socket as shown in the picture. The battery pack or charging socket also has to be connected to the engine housing (-).
