Still waiting to get an answer on the whole dimension of the tank, they keep giving me the length which is already advertised, they did say that it can hold liquid, this company is in Asia. in the mean time I went and altered the seat again and this time it's final, the screws go into the foam not the body. It looks much better in person.

Seller got back to me on the measurements of this tank 120mm length x 56mm depth x 55mm hieght this is a perfect fit for the pacesetter. I should be receiving it in a week or so. Also holds fluid and has access for the fittings, some fittings are included but might have to provide my own for fuel outtlet. Fuel tanks are custom made and all aluminum.

Lovedr here is the seller on ebay {toucanhobby} that I got it from. There are a lot of the same tanks made by "LESU model racing" some come with the snap on end caps possibly made for looks only? The one i'm getting holds fluid and what appears to be tig welded at all the seems including gas cap. Maybe you should wait until I get mine and I'll give a review.

If anyone is stuck without a steering wheel here's a diy project. For this car I wanted a vintage steering wheel and the only way to get one is to find someone to fabricate it for you (but who?) or make one yourself. Go to Home depot and get a thin piece of sheet metal, solid round stock, thin enough to bend in shape and some leather rapping. You'll need some sort of welding to join them together I used a mig and a jig saw to cut your pattern.

I went with a nylon nut for the center post as I wanted it to look as vintage as possible. Still have to smooth out the ruff edges and tidy it up a little. The dash is going to have turned aluminum decal like the ones found on the newer Gilmers, should have that this week along with the hood scoop decal set. Thank you Kaye, I received the turned aluminum dash sooner than expected, now just waiting for the fuel tank :)

Emilio, When I spent a day with Jan Gilmer back in 2011, I asked Jan how he did his engine turned aluminum dash, so I could do the same on my midget. He just smiled, then went to a drawer and pulled out a piece of turned ally stick on vinyl. He said "here take this and give it a go". Here is the end result.

I had to buy 2 feet of this engine turned vinyl for a 5" dash :roll: Kaye and Bob if you need some let me know.

Putting this vinyl side by side to my Gilmer is almost up to par, detail on the Gilmer vinyl is slightly more crisp.

Speaking of Gilmers, I received my 3D printed aluminum bearing hub that will support the brake caliper. If interested stay tuned on that project for the build and review of the part.
