Re: F1 Engine
I think I am going to go this route. I really like what it could be and the construction moving forward would be doable. The other option was a full bodied indy car from late 80s or early 90s, but I fear my skills are not good enough to do so.

Re: F1 Engine
Mike this is purely my opinion, but over the years I've seen countless 1/4 scale IndyCar's and I have owned 4. How many 1/4 or 1/3 scale lotus 49 have there been to date, zero. I think you'll have the only one in the states with the DFV engine. The lotus 49 is the inspiration and reason for the indycars and F1s success today.

Re: F1 Engine
Mike I'm waiting for my rolls of filament that are coming from Czech Republic to Finish my static model, these filaments are made and tested for my printer, but when I'm done I'll start on the 1/3 scale. If you haven't done anything yet with your Cosworth I'll make you one for the engine, Just need the measurements of the engine again. Here is the front part of the 1/4 scale cabin, the whole body will be in six parts with the cowl, you'll just need to join them together. To get an idea how big the 1/4 scale lotus is, here's a photo next to my pacesetter midget which is pretty big.

Re: F1 Engine
Mike I have a large printer coming on Monday which could cut down the parts from 6 to 3, that would be great and less time to make. I think the printed body and your Cosworth will look absolutely stunning and one of a kind. The printer I have is an amazing one, here's a print I did for my step son, see if you recognize him.
