I found this project car in a guys garage when I was buying an electric RC car for my son. I'm totally new to the RC world, especially 1/4 scale gas. I work as a Tool and Die Maker so I was able to design and fabricate the suspension that was missing when I bought the car.

The provided body didn't fit and was missing the nose cone and front wing. I'm in the process of building the car and learning as I go. I hope everyone enjoys watching this build come together.

Great job! but why didn't you use a tube bender on the side rails?

Here are some progress photos of my custom Yankee F1 car with Raco F1 body.
I designed and 3D printed the snorkle and nose cone. Body work and paint will be the next step for the body.

The front suspension, exhaust and front wing was all designed and made by me. I am learning as I go, but that's part of the journey for me.
I don't have the proper wheels and tires yet but these ones work for testing and development.

Thanks! It has been countless hours of design and trial and error. Once I have the suspension working the way I like I'm going to machine the parts from aluminum.

No, I'm happy with the one that's on my car now.
It will look good once the body is filled, sanded
and painted.
