Tips for the shed

My most used little gadget in the shed is a 12V cordless drill which I've hardwired in to a 12V transformer.
Never needs charging, and without the battery pack it's nice and light.

I've also got the chuck key for my drillpress attached to one of those little retractable things people use for their nametags/swipecards.
Just let go of it when finished tightening the chuck and it zips back to its spot.

Yep works wonders.

How funny is this though - when I set it all up I drilled a small hole in the crosspiece on the chuck key to put a small keyring through.
I filed a little flat spot on it, centrepunched it, and set it up all sweet in the drill press vice.....

.....And realised there was no drillbit in the drill.....
And none of my other 8 chuck keys I have laying around fit that chuck.

*sigh*
