1992 Oldsmobile Funny Car
This car is a Pacesetter ¼ scale Funny Car similar to the one John Force campaigned in the 1990’s. I purchased this car from Ed Estrel’s son in Aug 2013. The chassis is lightweight moly tubing and has been completely chrome plated. The body is a Pacesetter Oldsmobile fiberglass body that has been professionally air brushed to give the car a period correct “Funny Car” look. The red, white and silver paints are base coat, and then clear-coat with pearl essence to give the paint depth. The rear wheels are custom made 6061 aluminum drag wheels. The Enderle Injector is handmade and the butterflies are functional to add realism to the car. The 54cc Solo engine is from a chain saw and modified with a clutch for this car. Fast-Rat porting re-worked the ports where the HP was increased significantly. The car has a fail-safe system installed, and a working parachute. The car is started with a 12 volt Datsun starter modified for this application.
