WCM exhaust manifold wanted

Post by mplumb »

I am looking for a nice manifold and possibly a tuned pipe. I missed them on ebay but this is what they look like (The WCM parts only).

The old twin style header would be even better.

Pipe found! I bought a new one from Bennett, never thought they would be making them anymore, silly me. http://www.bennettbuilt.com/shop/Mufflers.html

Mic,
Thanks for that find mate. I've been trying to get my race scrapped manifolds, into some sort of reasonable condition. Now I'm only a email away from two brand new ones... :D

Wiz, You are right about that. I received and is not what I need. Will fit on backward and Im not looking for something that needs a lot of modification. Stupid thing is I inquired with Bennett as to the specifics of the application and this is what Denny at Bennett said "should work". Oh well

So The muffler does not directly fit the application and the fix is not a huge ordeal though not what I was in the market for, denny@bennettbuilt.com said he would build what I needed for $49, personally I feel its not an install for a racer but perfect for a running display car, ground clearance is minimized. The manifold they sell for the g20 is reversed and the pipes need to be swapped to the opposite side of the manifold. Also important note that the pipes are to be centered (to the mounting bolts) as the original offset would cause a tolerance issue with the motor mounting. FYI I hope to have a shinny new muff on my soon to be perfect sprint car. The pic is one that has been modified by somebody, I will post Bennett's work when I get it. They also have a header that has about a 1/2" more ground clearance, add your preferred tuned pipe (assumedly).

Here is the (perfectly assembled) manifold from Bennett. Turned out way better than if I had to modify one, no unsightly holes welded or plugged. Thank you Denny! denny@bennettbuilt.com
