Funky, it was a pleasure meeting you and the family, I hope you enjoyed yourself the time you spent with us.
I sure hope you decide to join us by next season, this past sunday was way too cold and windy and seemed impossible to get the dragsters down the track.
We will be out there next Sunday, weather permitting and with a better result.

Yea, my prostock went surprisingly well down the track, after you left, we changed the gear ratio a bit and made a few really nice passes without NOS.

This week, I am setting up a small shot of NOS and making some changes to the car a bit, for this coming Sunday.

Anyway, I have some videos I will share on my next post, need to upload them tonight.

Thanks and hope to see you at the track again.

What are the rules and regulations there? What classes?

Hey guys we follow NHRA rules. We run 330ft
@the moment we have 1 class for 1/4 cars and that is for the dragsters they run 80-90cc
engines with nos the motor limit is 90cc,the cars can run over 90mph in 4.3 sec and less
4.01 pass 2weeks ago..

The Prostocks are being built and tested we are not sure what the motor limits will be yet
but we know we will be letting prostocks go against funny cars next year because of the similar size and weight..

The prostock that I drive is NYCDRAGRACERS and it has a 90cc motor that used to be in a dragster that ran over 90mph so we have had the car up to 70mph no nos but this week i will be installing a shot on it i plan on making this car run with the dragsters if I can this will
open up more competition.....

The more guys we get the more fun we have and all of our guys will help u no mater what.....

The only thing we have that runs those size engines are our 5th scales and they run the 330ft track also and @4.4 seconds we dont run bracket but can we like heads up racing..
Our 5th scales dont compete with the dragsters but if you want to call 1 of them out run a time close to what they run and step up..

The reason the club has not been so strict on the regulations is, besides the 5th scale guys and 1/4 scale dragsters, there are no other class of cars to categorize as of yet.
There are only 2 pro stocks out there now and a few funny cars are being set up for next season, so until we have enough cars for each class, which we hope will be the case by next year, we will continue to push the issue with racers to step up and get involved in another class.
Other then that, the run what you brung will do till next season.

here is a quick video of a 90cc against a 30.5cc aaand not to mention a close 20 lbs difference in weight..
