That was a great deal. I have been offered 4 times that many times for one of mine! 20 were made. I have one standard one and one that was a custom one jeff made and it was also the 20th truck. I know one truck was trashed, i know of one more truck out there. So thats 5 counted for! Good score!!! Just do NOT ever drive that one. The rears are the old ones and WILL break.

After some investigation work, more pics that were shared, it is 100% original except the paint job was changed since that promotional picture by QRS.
This is the truck pictured above that QRS shows on the log.
The truck will be put back into original state and be featured at the coming WRAM show this year!

Very cool, this years WRAM show is going to be great, I know of alot of cars entering, that will show there is still a pulse in the scale.
The owner acquired the truck almost 15 years ago, it was used as a promotional truck for the Camel mud & monster series, hence the reason they re-painted the body.
But at that time the person that sold off the truck to him, said it was a custom show truck one of a kind, which we found not to be true.

When I posted this It still had 1 hr and 15 mins to go. I'm glad someone here got it. How much is that truck worth? I didn't realize it was a QRS monster truck. I might have bought that up myself. I kind of shyed away when the seller said it was custom. Oh well.
Funky, I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. I bought a new house and a drag car in the last couple of months so I have to save up again to get one. I'm actually holding out until you decide to sell me yours.

dont think this truck is worth 5k i remember them back then not built rugged enough looks great but not up to snuff, the new era truck is a different story, yeah i know its probably a knock off of the earlier ones but much better construction. collectable yes , rare yes ,worth more than 5k i think not, either way great score because its one of the early ones

I will say the ones with plastic gear boxes were a problem due to the rear ends being very brittle. But the ones with the investment cast rears are much better. The qrs truck out performs the new era for sure. I have both here at home. The problem with new era is the shocks, chassis and steering. The shocks are too long making the truck sway like crazy when you drive it. The chassis design gives it VERY little ground clearance and the steering is a joke. Its only 2 wheel steering and its done with 2 quarterscale servos. On the other hand, the qrs truck has more ground clearance, does not sway and it has 4wd steering useing a $500 servo that can turn all 4 wheels when the truck is stopped!

Lastly that the Degree is the TANK between them all. It has a 100cc kart engine with over 13HP, hydraulic 4 wheel steering and it dwarfs the new era truck making it look like a childs toy!!!! LOL

Note the new era truck behind it...

i kind a agree wit you mike but if my memorie serves me correctly a friend of mine bought one back then they were pretty pricey to begin with and ran it , it broke the rears , and sum other stuff on it. now back then we were into just thrashin em and maybe alittle over zealous wit it but i would say dam for the size it should hold together not! now i find myself trying to restore these darn things . never seen a watyacal it pulling truck i bet its a beast

I happen to have a NE Monster truck and the rears break on that too(ring and pinion). I drive everything i have. I personally like the new era better because it looks a little more realistic than the QRS. as for clearance, the new era MT came with two different wheel/tire sizes. some had the go kart tires and some had the one like QRS. i also have hydraulic steering on it and a comet 80cc engine. I broke the front hub axle joint and its been sitting for over a year now. but i love it. I plan to do some work to it soon. Funky, the ST is not the same size as the monster truck.
