Man that is a nice car for sure. I agree the price is a little steep but it has some amazing history and would make an awesome shelf queen.

It's a Tom Hughes car. The car Bob has is a pheonix bullet. Alot of history in those two cars. I had one just like it years ago. Very well built cars.

How many bullet and Hugher cars are out there, I'm starting to think the price tag might not be to far off after all? That damn ding in the cross bar would drive me bonkers.

The price for the "Hughes" Packwood car, certainly makes my "Phoenix" Packwood sister car a terrific buy, thanks to Mike Casey. I hope Bill gets what he is after for his car. Does nothing but make mine, not as cheap as it was yesterday. Although having said that, it is not for sale in the foreseeable future!
Can someone tell me how many Hughes and Phoenix Supers were built back in the day?

There were alot more hughes cars built than bullets. You can probly get Tom to build you a brand new car if you want it. They are for the most part the same design minus the front and rear axles. They just use a different motor plate. There were nine bullets and one prototype built and around thirty arrows built. The arrow was copied after they closed shop. So the welds will tell you if you have an original or a copy.

I am the seller of the super mod on eBay.
It's been a long time since I have been on this web site or even had the chance to work on any of the cars in my collection. I don't follow the sales on eBay, and lets face it. Most of the serious sales are completed off of eBay as the 9% final value fee is a killer!! I am sure this one will sell outside of eBay as well. So we really don't know what many of the "back door" actual selling prices end up being.
Please keep in mind that this is not a fixed price sale. It is a "Buy it Now" or "Best Offer" listing. There is no set price and I will take all reasonable offers into consideration. I have been out of this hobby for many years and I am not up on the current pricing trends in the 1/4 scale world. I based my "Buy it Now" price on what some collectors recently told me that this item is worth. I know that what something is worth and what someone is willing to pay are always two different amounts.
So please don't think that I am going to hold out for my "Buy it Now" price as you need to start somewhere. And you certainly don't start low and work your way up.
Thanks for posting the photos of my car as they should be shared by all. Afterall this is another example of this rather unique hobby.
So make me a reasonable offer and you just might end up being the next owner.
