KPL engine journey

When I first saw these engines come to market over a year ago, I was VERY excited. However the fact they were new to the market, were very expensive and the wait time was so long, it really made me hesitant to purchase one to review. Fast forward, my wife asked me what I wanted for my 50th birthday milestone. I told her a new Corvette C8 or a KPL engine, well, she cheaped out and opted for the KPL, so here we are! I have officially made the first payment and should start seeing progress soon with a completion in about 6 months or so. I will document this process on this thread so you can all go along with me on this journey!!!

The owner of the company is named Leo. He is very patient and very good at responding. The only real bummer about the process so far is these are made in small batches. Only a handful of engines are made each year. You need to express interest in getting in on the next batch and when the time comes, he will verify with you to move forward. If you miss this part, you will need to unfortunately wait another year. At the time my wife commited us, we were scheduled to be on the 2027 batch. Lucky for me, someone backed out and I was able to get in on the 2026 batch.

Machining has started. To make 4 blocks takes about a week of work on the CNC!!!!
