Well I've got the rear ready to bolt in a car. After I do some testing I'll let everyone know whats going on with it. I will have the parts made to convert any skellenger car over to the rc4wd rear. It will be a direct drop in.

I tigured out why I couldn't post pics. So here goes. This is the rc4wd rear in a newer WCM grand national chassis.

Looks great ,,Are they wcm trailing arms ? and for my learning why is the left trailer arm up side down to the right or vicer verser..

Yes. Im trying to use as many stock parts as I can. The left trailing arm is upside down because usually the bear carrier goes to the inside because the gear hub goes on the outside. Of course with this set up I dont need to do that. This puts the bearings as far out as possible to the wheels.

Does your rear end still have a functional diff? If so how did you keep both splined output shafts from pulling out of the diff?

I am using C-clips sandwiched between bearings to hold mine.

No, I eliminated the diff altogether. I wanted to make the rear a direct drop in for a skellenger car. So with a solid 1/2 in. axle you can use standard bird cages/ trailing arms etc. Do you have pics of your install?

I just made a gear clamp like a skellenger and put a 1/2 inch axle straight through.

I hope its ok I show you how I did it, I know this is your thread.

I machined a groove in the RC4WD axles to hold a C clip and added 4 bearings on each side of the rear end. 2 bearings on either side of the clip.

Then I install the shaft with the C clips and bearings into the housing.

Then I used the clamping screw to hold all the bearings in place. I am not sure why this clamping screw is there because in the stock RC4WD rear end, this clamping screw doesn't do a thing but it helps me in converting this so I am happy about that. Now with this screw tightened in place, I hold both axles in place without moving.
