Aluminium Billet Racing Wheels from Design Star Racing

Post by Design Star Racing »

Hi all, I'd like to welcome you all to a preview of a new line of racing wheels for all you quarter scale oval racers.

The wheels are manufactured from 6000 series aluminium using the latest CNC technology and are beautifully finished.

The wheels come in three width options, 2", 3" and 4" each wheel is 4" in diameter and BRP host rubber fits perfectly.

The wheels are not just to look good but you can race with these babies, the other great thing is beacuse of the way they have been designed you can simply bolt in a different wheel centre to change the look of the wheels, currently there are 3 styles to choose from.

The wheels come with hubs options, a front ball raced hub that will fit and 5/16" front axle and a rear pinch hub that will fit any 1/2" rear axle.

A complete set including hubs is £350 + shipping all you need to do is add a tyre and you're off racing and looking great.

My website will be online very soon as I release more products but please feel free to email me if you have any further questions or would like to order a set.

I can be contacted at - carl05am@gotadsl.co.uk

More pictures coming soon, please enjoy these ones of now.

Many Thanks

Carl - DSR

Mike,
When I posted the photo of the Bishop wheels that I recently purchased I mentioned a new set of 1/4 scale wheels were about to be released in Australia......these are them. My Bishop rims came from Ian Marsh, Carl's brother in the Perth Australia I believe. Ian sent me a photo of what Design Star Racing were about to release....Whew!!!
Beautiful aren't they!
My name will be down for a set also!

I'm just in the process of getting the price down of the rims and all the bits due to a the cnc programming. I'm hoping to get the price down to around $400 a set + shipping for you guys over there in the states. Remember you only need to buy the rims once then you can get the different centres to bolt in, thus changing the appearance of the wheels at a very small cost. All parts of the wheels will be availabe for purchace so these aren't a one shot wheel that you can't replace. WATCH THIS SPACE GENTS as things are going to start moving very quickly once the websites up and running. More styles have been machined and are looking good, I'm also making some PRO stock wheels, fronts and rears if anyone's keen.

Whatever offset you require really, the standard wheels are a 1" offset on the rears and 0 offset on the front 2" rims. Due to the way that the cnc is set up I can dial in any offset onto the 3" and 4". I've also machined a set of front 1" pro stock / drag wheels so I'll get a picture up on here as soon as it's finished.
