Quickdraw tuned pipes

Post by quickdraw »

Was wondering if anyone was in need of one. I still has some I can make up. Have for:
Raco GN/Outlaw/Rabbit (Also believe it fits the truck too but can't remember if it fits under bed ok)
Raco Sidewinder
Prc GN (Qd sprint pipe)
QD Sprint and Super
Wcm Belt sprinter.. On this one I will have to machine up the adapter block for the exhaust port. I ran out of them and will make if need be.
( Note on Rabbit: You will have to make a mount for it, to mount it to your cage ) I have done this on mine before. Or I can leave the tab unwelded if you would like to make your own setup and weld it on when done.
The Prc,Qd pipes and Raco Sidewinder will be 150.00 and the the others will be 100.00
Thanks
Todd

Todd, what style is the wcm belt pipe? Are they straight pipes for the right hand side of the car?
Thanks

Todd, welcome to the site. I am glad that you are offering these pipes here. People really should take advantage of this deal, these are good prices for QD pipes. Mitch made the best back in the day.
I heard you put one of those QD engines in a car and converted it to air cooled? Is that true? do you still have it?

I'm interested in a few. What type car are you talking about as far as the PRC car. I have a PRC GN with the full cage. Is this the same car you are referring to? If so I would like one of those pipes. I would like to see how the rabbit pipe fits. I am building a few different cars that will have QC rears so I want pipes for them. Im hoping that something you have will fit the bill. Thanks

Fred
The pipes we made were the ones that wrapped over the top of the engine and stayed under the rollcage. I will have to machine up the aluminum block that mounts to the motor and makes the pipe wrap over the top. I used the last one on a pipe I sold on Ebay awhile ago. I thought that was all the pipe stuff I had. Than I found more pipe stampings.
QSL
Thanks for the welcome. I cruise here every once in awhile. Just looking around. On the GN. Wish I still had it. I sold it on Ebay awhile ago. I have no where to run it around me anymore and was taking up room. Joe Aselin bought it from me. Yeah, I ran it on alcohol/nitro and removed the water cooling jacket. Was like driving a four foot long 1/8 scale car. I could haze the tires at will at any speed. The motor wasn't even a current version when I built the car. I have other pics if you wanted too see more of it. I still have all the parts to make the GN too, unless I am missing something and don't remember? The rearend I don't have, but we made them to take the Sprint car rearend.
Jwracing
I am trying to remember on the sprint car. If those were the ones being built while we were still doing the cars, if so. I can't remember offhand which pipe fit. Seems like it was a Sprint pipe, but I had finished them complete for some and sent some in loose pieces for others. May have been a different Sprinter though. been a looooong time ago.
Big
Lance had only made the one car. That one took our Sprint pipe because it was easier to fit in without much effort. Though.. am kinda rusty on it. Might have been the Super pipe, but highly doubt it. Supermod pipes I made very rarely. If you are trying to fit the Raco pipe in the Prc car, It will not fit. If you are talking about the other cars? I can send you a pic of the Raco pipe if you want? Also, if you have a quick drawing of it. I can see if I can make it fit or can send you the pipe seamed up but in loose pieces for you to finish. This way it will fit like you want it.

Todd, Are you the same todd that was selling all the quickdraw cars awhile back? If so do you know where I could get one of the super modifieds? I tried to get the one you had but dadncody bought everything 1/4 scale. I did'nt have all the money at the time to buy it so I missed that one.
Back to the pipes, I have a PRC car I want a pipe for. I also am building a couple cars myself I want pipes for. That was why I wanted to know what the rabbit pipe looked like because I think the setup will be close to the rabbit. If you have pics of cars we want be mad if you post them :D I would love to see pics of some of the old quick draw cars and the pipes you made for all the other cars.
Thanks for the reply, Lance

You busted me. Yep..Same Todd
Ok guys now it gets weird. I have a pipe fixture that I didn't mark when we were making them. Does anyone remember us making a pipe for a car that either had an engine mounted with a rearend setup that came out at a horizontal plane off the engine and went over the driveshaft? Or maybe a belt car that had the engine with the spark plug up and the pipe stayed off to the left hand side of the chassis? I see no pipe mount on the welding fixture and can't remember what car it was for? Too long ago to remember.

I bought the raco abs outlaw camaro from you. I sure wish I could have gotten the super mod from you. I waited until you put it up the second time and it was gone before I got the chance to bid on it. Oh well. Do you know anyone that would have one for sale. even if its in bad shape i can fix it up.

One of the pipes I need will look similar to the one in the pic below. This is a car thats on ebay the guy says it's a new era but its a WCM car. I have one of these I was going to use as a test car so to speak. If you have on of these pipes let me know. I definetly want one of the PRC pipes.
Thanks again, Lance

Will send you an email. Better to deal that way. Mitch doesn't like wasting time on the phone about the cars since we no longer sell them. I am dealing with the cars, but the cars do not have anything to do with the shop. That is why Mitch doesn't want phone calls on it.
