RIGHT/CLOCKWISE ROTATION ENGINE

Post by hotrodz »

Looking for a right hand rotation PETCO, Quadra or U.S. Engines engine for a vintage New Era Pro Stock restoration. These engines were used on the early chain drive/jackshaft chassis' where the crankshaft exits to the passenger side and the pull start is towards the drivers side of the chassis. Looking for something in the 35cc. to 42cc. range.
Attached are a couple pics of a "lefty" rotation engine for reference...the "righty" will look identical except for the right hand oriented pull start.

Thanks...Ron

When the Petco engine sources dried up Pacesetter used the Mccolluch eager beaver 2.0 chainsaw engine in their cars. There is usually some of these listed on E Bay

Thanks George,
I'll check the McCulloch's out...they keep coming up when I do a search on U.S. Engines...maybe they are the same. I know some of the Husky chainsaws are "righty's" as well...we played with them in the boats. I'm searching this for a friend...he wants to stay "original" with the resto...we might have to look at other options?
