Late 1980's WCM Sprint Car Misc Parts Needed

Post by Bandit33 »

Back at the first of the year, I acquired a WCM Sprint Car and am all but finished restoring it. However, there are a few items that I would like to find to complete my project.

1. Left & Right side sheet metal kick panels.
2. Left Side Panel to cover the clutch primary drive.
3. Non-functional exhaust headers.
4. Driver Mud Guard & Steering Wheel.
5. Decal Sheet.
6. Front Wing and Wing Supports.

The car that I acquired was raced up in New Jersey back in the late 1980's and was in great shape considering the age and minor race damage. The car has been stripped down to the cage frame, all dents and damaged repaired, sandblasted and painted Dupont Chroma Based "Skoal" green and clear coated. The body has been painted pearl white with "Skoal" green trim.

I'll get a few pictures posted in a day or two to show everyone where the progress stands as of now.

I would also like to thank Lance over in Sumter, SC for his assistance with my project.

If any one should be able to assist me with the items that are needed, please contact me at bryan@banditshobbies.com or call 843-393-3333.

Thanks

Brian, nice to see you found this forum. That car had the headers on it, I put them in the box of parts for the super mod and forgot about them. I will get them out and bring them to you the next time I go over there.

BTW, I'm sure you know joe goodwin, he has decals. http://jgproducts.net/

Thanks, Lance. I thought that I remembered that the car had headers, but was really sure. Thanks for hanging on to them for me. I tried to post a few pics here, but not sure how the pic posting works here on this forum.

The car is really looking great now. The body has been painted, the new fuel tank installed in the tail and the tail mounted on the chassis. I need to find a smaller air filter, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

One of our racers owns a machine shop, so he made the machined aluminum steering servo mounts for me. Stop by when you are over this way soon!

Thanks for for your help.

Bryan
