Thank you Robbie, I completed the hood support bar, so that down the road if I decide to separate the hood I would need to make an inner wheel well to support the brackets that support the hood. Everything is still in rough form but will add the final clean up and details when all is done. Hope you enjoy :)

Hey Emilio,
Great looking car! BTW, who makes the fuel filler inlet and where did you get it?
Keep up the great work brother.

Well, I wasn't home to sign for the engine so I took the opportunity to fabricate the side pipe exhaust, Monday I should get the engine mounted and exhaust routed. Hope you enjoy :)

Hey folks, I got the engin mounts done and the engine sits perfect under the hood, I have to redesign the front axle bulkhead to accommodate the new position of the steering servo and bracket. Mike.C if you could chime in on what materials were used on your Daytona exhaust manifold at the engine side and if no trouble can you post a photo of the exhaust? Thanks.Till then hope everyone is enjoying the project so far :)

Thanks for posting progress here in our archive, which IMHO is a superior hobby resource, compared with Facebook.

Hey folks, The chassis is done but waiting for paint to fully cure before I install the engine. For the exhaust, instead of reinventing the wheel I took the liberty to use the original muffler and converted it to an exhaust manifold, I will then connect the side pipes with neoprene hose. Waiting on the rotor start, clutch drum and housing. Till then hope you enjoy :)

Thanks Kaye, from what I gathered from photos I'm pretty sure Jeff Schmidt ran the exhaust this way, he also had a Zenoah tilted in a V-shape. It will make more sense when the engine is mounted to get an idea how it's routed. The side pipes will be painted flat white high temp.

The minimalist approach to this project (engine / exhaust, etc.) is what IMHO makes it so very special. It's so easy to overdo a model car, or a full size one. Keep up the good work!
