Stolen 1/4 scale race cars

I got this off of another site that I visit.

i need everyones help my neighbor has his entire 28 ft trailer contents stolen, 4 quarter scale gas powered cars all sighed by jeff gorden, bodies, parts , this guy is in bad health and does not need this please keep your ear to the ground let me know thank you
these where stolen couple days ago from Alton ,Ill
bill is a great friend, and has been going thru some very bad health issues of late, any help in locating these rare 1/4 cars is greatly appreciated, also the was alot of remote control cars as well as tool as well that where stolen thank you all .

These are very unique type of mini race cars, wheelie bars, parachutes, look like the real deals . just smaller,
4 of them i'm getting pics of these and the other stuff today, really sad. Bill just got out of the hospital when this occured.
Bill was told by the city of Alton that he could no longer keep his trailer that stored these at his home after 30 years of living there and never any issues of this ever,, they cited him for the trailer , so he had to park it at a lot in Alton,, now he has lost everything in it , and alot of damage to the trailer,
just a reminder it took several guys to get these items and trailers, and several trips , so wouldnt be surprized to see 2-3 individules involved ,

I'm in Southern Illinois, I'll watch the local Craigslist and other places locally. Who should I report it to if I see the stuff for sale? The city of Alton PD will obviously be of no help.

I'm 15 min. from Alton, you really should post some pics of this stuff....i run in all the rc circles around here, these are bound to show up sooner or later.

my thinking is check pawn shops and flea markets to... im sure these people have no ideal what there worth or what to do with them ...sad to hear about this ..plz post some picks so we all know what to look for....

I live in St louis and will keep my ears open as well,if i find them though i will put the persons who stole them in my trunk and deliver them with the cars

I can add just a little info.

The guy that had the cars stolen is a friend of a racing buddy of mine. My buddy knew I was into 1/4 scale and gave him my work number. I received a phone message from him the other day about the missing cars. I called him back but got his voice mail and have since not heard from him. The only thing he mentioned on his VM to me that might be of help is that they were painted up as show cars for DuPont Automotive paints. Not sure if they all have DuPont logo's or may or may not be #24 replicas. Sorry that's all I've got so far.
