Killer Cans.
Re: Killer Cans.
Hey Funky I may be wrong but I believe the base coat is the most important. Taking all top coats into consideration. G

Re: Killer Cans.
nice stuff, I have an idea for that chrome paint!
Re: Killer Cans.
I have used some of this stuff with my airbrush. I painted some of BRP rims and they looked great when first done. If I was putting the car on the shelf and not using it, it would be okay. When you race the car and touch the rims the shine seems to lose its luster after handling. You can't put clear on it because if you do it will take away the luster.

I have never tried the Alsa Chrome technique. Their unique, multi-step application certainly LOOKS like the good stuff, as they have several how-to videos posted on it works:

I have only used the more commonly available Alclad! II and the SpazStix chrome paints, the Alclad looks great, but it is somewhat delicate, which is why I use it on the INSIDE of clear Lexan bodies pretty much exclusively.

Re: Killer Cans.
With the problems I've experieced lately getting products from the 'States, I must say I'm extremely impressed with the people at "Killer Cans".
Sent a email enquiring on shipping some cans to Australia. Gary Pinkstaff replied immediately and explained the situation saying it was possible, however as the product is highly flammeable, it has it's problems. Shipping can be done with all the apprpriate HAZMART issues...read paperwork... in place, which does add some, to the cost and length of shipping.
I will not go ahead with the purchase, as I think the costs will over-capitalise the end 1/4 scale results.
Having said that, they have some truly amazing colours in their range....so you never know!
Thanks again to Gary at http://www.alsacorp.com
