I'm asking this because I just don't know:
Are these engines mainly built for static display purposes and only running them in a test stand or can it be used for powering an rc?
Does it have an operational water pump? Looks like it has but I've just never seen one of these in real life and am wondering if the costs is the only reason or if there are other reasons too for people not willing to use these engines. Any idea of the power output and amount of usable rpm's?

hi,
yes it has a water pump, and i believe it has between 5-7hp, as far as rpm's, i'm just guessing at 15,000, and i'm sure someone on here might have a correct number if i'm incorrect..... they use nitro fuel, and need to be oiled down after use. again someone else might be able to answer that question these engines are not cheap, and as such are well cared for. most use these engines in hi-end cars, and not your every day driver.
i hope that i answered you questions....

I would recomend static only. No parts are available for these at all. They rev VERY fast, its easy to throw a rod if your not careful. Plus they need to be cleaned very carefully after running and lubricated or the piston rings will rust to the cylinder sleeves.
Cool to run once to hear and see it, but not really worth the risk or effort to do often.

Hey Mike,
How many of these do you have???
Would you agree that putting a Conley V-8 in any car puts it in a league all by itself????
These engines are for BIG BOYS, and they are the finishing touch for the MASTER Model Builders.....
Just Saying.....
